Dear Diary,
All summer long I worked my fingers to the bone, producing Adam WarRock's debut album "The War For Infinity" - and at long last, the album is available to the public!
I consider the album a "Comic Book Rap Album" - the music & lyrics tell a story loosely based on the Marvel Comics book "The Infinity Gauntlet", which has heroes and villains engaged in an epic battle that spans galaxies and dimensions. The album is getting rave reviews from the comic book media / community.
The album is streaming in its entirety at the Adam Warrock's Bandcamp Page; where it's also available for purchase (on CD or Digital Download). It's also available in other fine digital stores (like iTunes, Amazon, etc.).
And for people who prefer an easier listen - we're also releasing an Instrumental Version of the album. It contains all my beats, in their instrumental glory! It's streaming in its entirety at the Adam Warrock's Bandcamp Page; it's also available for purchase there, or at other fine digital stores (like iTunes, Amazon, etc.).
In addition, I have a new DJ Mix completed, and it's streaming & available for FREE Download HERE. It's entitled "I Love You But I've Chosen Disco", and features the funkier side of new down-tempo, hip-hop, soul, disco and electronic.
Now it's back to work in the studio, working on my next LP.
Until next time,
-Ruckus
BEHOLD: The new single by Adam Warrock (up-and-coming indie rapper / comic book guru) produced by Ruckus Roboticus. It's entitled Ira Glass, and it's a tribute to the creator and host of This American Life (one of the best radio shows ever!). Listen to it here. Purchase it direct from Adam there too, or from iTunes, Amazon.com, etc...
Adam Warrock's debut full-length album (also produced by Ruckus Roboticus) will be released in late September.

Dear Diary,
I'm proud to announce that I have a new official remix being released. This new project is a remix of New York based, indie singer/song-writer Knock Em Alive. The remix is streaming and available for download HERE.
I'm also pleased to have completed a new DJ mix, which I'm calling "Alive And Well". It's my response to people who think Hip-Hop is dead ... because in certain places (like Solid Steel Radio and The Beat Oracle), Hip-Hop is alive and well! This mix is over-flowing with mind-blowing new-ish hip-hop, beats, and soul! It's streaming and available for FREE download HERE.
I also recently accepted an offer (from the Warmer Climes blog) to write about 10 songs that had a profound effect on my life. This exercise turned out to be much more challenging than I expected. However, after many days of soul-searching and reminiscing, I was able to come up with 10 songs that changed my life. And to my surprise, the songs and the stories behind the songs, reveal so much about my life and my artistic pursuits. I recommend trying to create your own list of 10 songs.
Other than that I've been hard at work making beats for Adam Warrock, and Vitamin E, as well as spreading the word about The Chicks EP, and working on my new full length album...
Until next time,
-Ruckus
Dear Diary,
It's been a long and challenging process, but I'm finally self-releasing my new EP on my new record label: The Chicks EP, on Dance Or Die Records. The EP features my new single, "Chicks" - a quirky swing-house-electro ode to chicks, and includes remixes from artists that I admire - Frankie J (of The Sound Republic), DJ Wood (of Good Groove Records), and Hot Mess (who are making big moves in the Dubstep / Bassline scene).
The EP is streaming in its entirety on my Bandcamp page.
It can be purchased at Bandcamp, or any other digital music store ... iTunes, Amazon, Beatport ...
That's all for now. Until next time,
-Ruckus

I came, I saw, I brought the Ruckus.
Here I sit, at London Heathrow Airport, after 2 weeks of non-stop traveling, performances, late-nights, and early mornings. Utter exhaustion (and a broken sampler) is a small price to pay for the opportunity to perform my music in front of such passionate audiences. I was both impressed and inspired by the outstanding performers that I shared the stage with: DJ Pete Isaac, Boom Monk Ben, DJ Cheeba, Gift Of Gab, Detectives of Perspective, Hong Kong Ping Pong, & Full Melt. My caretakers were most generous and hospitable -- thank you Jelly Jazz and Mixed Bizness staff!
The shows went very well; and I got enthusiastic responses from music-lovers, DJs, and promoters alike. I think the next time I return, I will hopefully be able to branch out into different cities, and into Europe as well.
Once I recover, I am so inspired & anxious to get back to the studio, and begin work on my next LP, as well as a few side projects with MC's.
All right then, well done, nice one ... CHEERS!

Dear Diary,
My U.K. tour ("R.U.C.K. In The U.K.") is just around the corner! To celebrate, I've recorded a new DJ mix of my favorite recent dance tunes, which I'm sharing here. I'm also sharing a cool video flyer here. (I am so thankful that "R2" created such a rad video!)

Dear Diary, I'm thrilled to present my latest official remix - Fool's Gold "Nadine" (Ruckus Roboticus Remix). Fool's Gold is on fire right now -- just look at the show's they've played in 2009 / 2010; or listen to their debut album. So it was an honor to "bring the Ruckus" to their incredible song, Nadine. I hope music lovers around the world will enjoy the results.... Sincerely, -Ruckus

Dear Diary,
After many months of hard work, I have two new mix CDs available. The first is called "A Very Daft Punk Christmas" -- it's my tribute to one of my favorite artists of the past decade, Daft Punk. Every aspect of their art, is so ridiculously dope. I especially love their use of samples, and song-writing. To me, it's the most exciting use of samples since DJ Shadow. So for this mix, I collected every song that has any connection to them. I then narrowed it down to my favorites; and tried to create a cohesive mix from that body of work. The mix is streaming here, and available for purchase here (which by the way, is a link to newly launched, Ruckus Roboticus Online Shop).
My other new mix is entitled "Around The World In 80 Minutes"; and it features choice hypnotic beats & soul, from around the world, as well as my own background. It stemmed from my recent obsession with Chico Mann (side project of the Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra's guitarist Marcos Garcia), and Lee Scratch Perry; and then branched out to other excellent recent releases from Quantic, Ocote Soul Sounds, and others. The mix is available for purchase here, and you can browse the playlist here.
I also have a new remix that is going to be released soon on Sweat It Out. The song is "Boyfriend" by the KillaQueenz -- a female Australian rap duo. You can listen to my remix here, and it's available for purchase at stores such as iTunes, Beatport, and Juno.
One last thing to note -- The Beat Oracle (radio show & podcast) is featuring an exclusive recording of my live one-man-band performance (as well as my Daft Punk mix). It's your chance to hear what my live performance is like (complete with sloppy scratching & mistakes!). Check it out here. I'll be bringing this one-man-band performance to the U.K. in March of 2010...
Well, it's back to work on new beats and songs, and DJ sets... ahhhh, paradise!
Love, -Ruckus
Dear Diary,
As usual, things have been crazy busy. I survived the trip to Montreal and performance at the Pop Montreal Festival. I then DJ'd the Masquerage party - WOW, what a party! I have a new 12" out - The Remix EP - a collection of my recent remixes, appearing on vinyl for the first time ever. I also have a new mix CD out - Around The World In 80 Minutes.
I'm hard at work on a new mix CD, and many new productions, including collaborations with MC's. There's a chance I'm performing in NYC this December, and I will be touring the U.K. in the Spring of 2010. By then my new EP (Dance Or Die Vol. 1) should be released.
I'll conclude with my Top 5 of The Moment: 1. AUTUMN, 2. Pitbull Ft. Jump Smokers "Now You See It", 3. Jack Penate "Everything Is New" (LP), 4. The Office on TV, 5. Football season (I know, it's sad but true)
Until next time,
-Ruckus
